What is a Bulk SMS?
A Bulk SMS is a one-off SMS sent to a list of customers. This can be for Marketing purposes or if it relates directly to a booking or membership it could be sent as Contractual.
To send SMS's from your system, you will need an account with Twilio or TextLocal with the required configuration, and linked to your FuseMetrix system via the Integrations page in Booking Dashboard.
Creating your Bulk SMS.
In Marketing Hub > Bulk SMS, click Create. On this page there are 3 sections.
Bulk SMS:

Enter a name for your SMS - the customer won't see this, so it can be used to refer to what you're trying to promote or any easy way to identify it.

If you're including a link in your SMS message, enter the URL in the 'Link URL' field - you'll be provided with a shortened link which will be included at the end of your message automatically, or can be included within the message wherever you like using the <<link>> dynamic field.

If required, you can enter a description and budget for your Bulk SMS. These fields are just for your internal records.
Recipients:

Select the Communication Type based on the reason for the message (eg. cancellations or road closures could be contractual, promotional offers or upsells are always marketing)

Choose the Phonebook from the dropdown - this will in most cases be Customers / Prospects.

If required, select a Company or Contact filter.
Message:

Enter your sender name - this should be configured within your Twilio/TextLocal integration first.

Compose your message. These can be personalised using dynamic fields such as <<firstname>>, and remember to add <<link>> to insert your shortened link.

Note: Stats for sales will only be recorded against the Bulk SMS if the shortened link is used. Adding a URL directly into the message will not feed back any order data into FuseMetrix.
